DRIVING FOR A CURE

In November of 2022, STA announced our employee giving campaign to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in making a significant, positive impact on families in need. As part of our “Driving for a Cure” program, STA has committed a donation match up to $100,000 for funds raised by our employees.As a company, we are a family business rooted in our commitment to the communities we serve; therefore, St. Jude is a natural fit to support through an employee giving program. HR & SAFETY INFORMATION

The Human Resources Department oversees all aspects of employment, including onboarding, performance management, compliance with labor law and employment standards, and the administration of employee payroll and benefits. STA’s dedicated HR Team has representatives throughout all regions to support our local and regional teams.Similarly, the Safety Team supports the organization with Area Safety Managers and Regional Safety Directors dedicated to all operations throughout North America.

ACCESSING YOUR 2023 W-2 FORM (U.S. EMPLOYEES ONLY)

Electronic W-2’s are available in the UKG Pro employee portal and on the UKG Pro mobile app. Printed W-2’s will be mailed to the address on your employee record.You may update your personal information by logging into the UKG Pro employee portal. While there, you can also select electronic paystub copies to help save paper, postage and shipping. BACK TO SCHOOL SAFETY INFORMATION: STAYING SAFE IN SUMMER HEAT

As the new school year gets underway, it is critical that a thorough Child Check is performed by every driver at the end of every route, every time. More than half of all children who have died from heatstroke inside hot vehicles did so as a result of being forgotten or left alone, and the heat inside a closed vehicle can reach potentially fatal levels within one hour.Additionally, we have instituted a mandatory Double Check policy which must be completed in all locations. IMPORTANT EXECUTIVE UPDATE: TAX WITHHOLDING
The following information applies to U.S. employees only.

As you might be aware, on August 8, 2020, the President signed an executive order allowing for the potential deferral of a portion of an employee’s tax withholding from September 2020 through December 2020. Please note that this order is not a tax break or forgiveness, but rather a loan that the employee is
required to repay during the period from January 2021 through April 2021. During this period, employees will need to pay double tax withholdings in order to satisfy the repayment.
Additionally, the executive order is complex, does not apply to all employees, has not been completely vetted and requires numerous payroll system software changes. After much discussion, and since the executive order is simply a deferral and not a forgiveness of any employee tax obligation, the Company has decided to not implement this payroll tax deferral.
